How can we help?

Quick answers below. If you're stuck, email support@lumierpro.com and a real person will reply.

Getting started

Do I need an account?

No. You can paint, save and export without an account. You'll only need one to buy Pro, download premium packs or, later, sync between devices.

How do I install Lumier Pro?

Open lumierpro.com/app, then use Add to Home Screen (Safari) or Install app (Chrome and Edge). Step-by-step instructions for each device are on the download page.

Which devices and browsers are supported?

Current Safari on iPad, iPhone and Mac, and current Chrome, Edge and Firefox on Windows, macOS, Android and ChromeOS. We tune for iPad Pro with Apple Pencil and Windows pen tablets first.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After your first visit, Lumier Pro is stored on your device and opens without a connection. Only signing in, buying Pro and downloading premium packs need the internet.

Your artwork

Where is my artwork stored?

On your device, in your browser's private storage for Lumier Pro. It isn't uploaded anywhere. Each stroke is saved as you lift the pen, and if the app closes unexpectedly your artwork is recovered the next time you open it.

Can clearing my browser data delete my artwork?

Yes: clearing site data for lumierpro.com, or uninstalling the app on some platforms, removes artwork stored in the browser. Lumier Pro asks the browser to protect its storage, but please export important pieces as .lumier or PSD files and keep backups.

Which file formats can I open and export?

Today: the native .lumier format. Coming in version 1.0: Photoshop PSD/PSB, Procreate documents and brushes, Photoshop ABR brushes, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, WebP and PDF. When a file can't be converted exactly, Lumier Pro shows a report of what changed.

Who owns what I make?

You do. We claim no rights over your artwork. See the terms of use.

Troubleshooting

My pen pressure isn't working

Make sure the pen is paired and working in other apps, then check the pressure settings in Lumier Pro. On Windows, pressure needs Windows Ink enabled for your tablet driver. Mice have no pressure, so Lumier Pro uses full pressure for them.

The app says it's running in reduced performance mode

Lumier Pro uses multiple CPU threads when the browser allows it. Some browsers, private windows and embedded browsers don't, so the app falls back to a single thread. Painting still works; very large canvases may be slower. Installing the app or updating your browser usually fixes it.

How do I update?

Lumier Pro checks for updates in the background. When a new version is ready you'll see an Update now button. Your work is saved first, so updating is safe at any time.
